SUNYFL brings BYU players to coach youth Football players during the camp

St. George, Utah

Gridiron University is a leader in youth tackle football. For over 25 years GIU has hosted games and events that welcomed athletes like Tony Romo, Marcus Brady and many more. From unique events like the High School Football Coaches Gala and three Youth Allstar games that host the best talent in the nation to SUNYFL, which is the Southern Utah premier youth football league, GIU is committed to providing an experience that goes deeper than just the love of the game.

The 6th annual Cougars Camp allows youth players, 1st through 9th grade, the opportunity to come out and learn from their college brothers, and some of the best in the nation. 8 players from BYU will be in attendance to offer coaching, drills, and skill development that the players can take and utilize as they progress in their football careers.

“We love that we have the opportunity to allow the kids to learn from the greats. This is something we strive for, to open the door for those who want to go to the next level, and to be going into our 6th year is something special.” Darry “Gator” Alton, Founder & President of GIU, said. The SUNYFL Cougars Camp has hosted the likes of Adam Hine, Bronson Kaufusi, Fred Warner, Dayan Lake, Kai Nacua, Nate Carter, Riley Burt, Tegen Koroma, Tuni Kanuch, and a wide variety of other former Cougars. “It truly is a unique experience that allows the kids to learn hands on from their in-state heroes. It’s always a great time.” - Darry said.
